The YAP is a hands-on training that will provide you with:

​

• A personalised mentoring plan to acquire real-world EU advocacy, stakeholder management, and EU legal skills.

• Insight into how EU institutions operate.

• Advice on how to reinvest your new skills, networks, and knowledge to positively shape the future of democracy in your country of origin and beyond.

Tasks include policy and legal drafting, political monitoring, and attending and organising meetings with EU decision-makers.

Conditions:

​

• Remuneration: a min monthly allowance of 1,100 EUR/month + food vouchers.​

• ​38 hours/week - Brussels-based, with the possibility of telework 2 days per week.

• Duration: 6 months.

• Starting dates: ​

  • March, 1 to August, 30 (included)

  • ​September, 1 to February, 28 (included)

( ! )  Exceptional candidates might be offered, depending on their profile and the programme needs of  RECLAIM a fixed-term contract of a minimum of 6 months afterward.  

The traineeship programme is open to university graduates who:

​

• Are legally eligible to work in Belgium

• Have a minimum 3-year higher education degree in law, EU studies or political sciences.

• Have good knowledge of English (C1 or C2 levels).

• Have done or are interested in doing a traineeship in an EU institution.

• Have a proven concern for democracy and human rights in Europe.

• Have strong analytical skills and the ability to synthesise.

•  Are empathetic team players.
